At our church, ministry is more than programs—it’s about building a strong foundation of faith from the earliest years through adulthood. Every gathering is designed to help people know, love, and follow Jesus in a safe, joyful, and Christ-centered environment.

Nursery — A Safe
and Nurturing Start

Newborn–4 years (during main services)

Our Nursery offers a warm, secure space with a state-of-the-art sign-in and drop-off system. Caring leaders introduce little ones to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through age-appropriate songs, stories, and play.

️ Base Camp — Midweek Adventure in God’s Word

Wednesdays at 6:00 PM | K–5th Grade

Base Camp uses Answers in Genesis to lead kids through engaging, Bible-rich lessons and hands-on activities. With our secure check-in and a fun, welcoming atmosphere, kids grow in faith and friendships.

️ Summit Kids — Sunday Mornings at 10:00 AM

During Worship | K–5th Grade

A high-energy, Christ-centered experience featuring dynamic Bible teaching, worship, and interactive activities. Our state-of-the-art sign-in and drop-off ensures safety while children build their lives on Jesus.

Kids Praise — Sunday Nights at 6:00 PM

K–5th Grade

A vibrant worship night where children learn biblical truth and songs that glorify God. Kids discover why we sing and how to worship with their whole hearts in a joyful, secure environment.

Students — Wednesdays at 6:00 PM

Middle & High School

A gospel-centered gathering that helps students pursue Jesus through discipleship, apologetics, and evangelism. The night includes games, student-led worship, separate messages for middle and high school, and small groups for real-life application and community.

Young Adults — Wednesdays at 6:00 PM

Ages 18–25

A welcoming community for college students and young professionals to grow in Christ, build authentic friendships, and live on mission. Each week features Bible teaching, discussion, and prayer, with opportunities for service and outreach.

Adult Service — Wednesdays at 6:00 PM

Join us midweek for worship, verse-by-verse Bible teaching, and prayer designed to refresh your faith and equip you for everyday life. It’s a great opportunity to connect with others, dig deeper into God’s Word, and seek the Lord together. (Nursery and children’s ministries available.)

Life Groups — Sundays Meal at 5:15 PM | Bible Study at 6:00 PM
 
Life Groups are available for middle school through senior adults on a quarterly basis. LGs are a vital part of church ministry and Christian discipleship at Mt Vernon Baptist Church. Groups are made up of people of all ages that meet at the church, in homes or in many cases BOTH!  Click here to find out more.
